American College of Higher Education is an international center of the Broward College Florida, and approved by the US regional accrediting commission Southern Association of Colleges and schools (SACS) USA. ACHE has transferred about 1,400 students so far to prestigious Universities in the United States of America (USA) and many other countries world-wide. While students can transfer over to 4000 universities and colleges in USA and worldwide most of the students found placements in prestigious universities such as North Dakota State university, Fargo, SUNY Plattsburg, Truman State University, Missouri, Wichita State University, Kansas, Iowa State University, Iowa, Florida Atlantic University, Florida and Winona State University, Minnesota etc. in USA. Established in 1995, ACHE is affiliated to the Broward College, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, North Dakota State University, USA, Excelsior College, Member of the University of the State of New York and Seneca, the largest Technical College in Canada. ACHE offers over 500 majors in undergraduate courses under the US University Transfer Program (UTP), which include Pre-Medicine, Engineering, Computer, Business, Psychology and many more. It also conducts four-year American Bachelor’s Programs, where students can obtain a US degree while completing the course entirely in Sri Lanka. These US Bachelor’s Programs cover Human Resources Management, General Business, Management Information Systems, supervisory management and Information Technology and two-year Associate Degrees in Business, Arts and Science. These degrees are conferred by the Excelsior College, Member of the University of the State of New York and Broward College, Florida USA. Students are enrolled in the US UTP, where they complete a minimum of 40-60 credits and then transfer to over 4000 universities of their choice in the US that will accept ACHE students’ credits. Students who excel during the first two years could receive scholarships to complete the next two years of the Bachelor’s Program. Under the MBA program conducted in collaboration with North Dakota State University, USA, students can study up to one year in Sri Lanka and transfer to North Dakota State University, ranked as the 42nd research university in USA, with a scholarship for the second year and this is the only US accredited MBA in Sri Lanka. There are other benefits such as internships and teaching assistantships and students who complete the MBA can go for work permits. Apart from these graduate programs, ACHE also offers around 80 diploma and certificate programs focusing on the job industry. These diplomas and certificates are recognized by the job market in Sri Lanka. The certificate courses cover English, Business, Communication, Education, Psychology, Computing etc. while the diplomas on offer are in HR Management, Marketing, Management and Teacher Training, Psychology and Travel tourism etc. ACHE has also tied up with the Edexcel UK to conduct Higher National Diplomas in Computing and Management. This qualification is highly recognized and very popular among the Sri Lankan students. ACHE also has joint hands with Guangzhou Civil Aviation College (GCAC) in China to offer the 1+1 transfer programs in Aircraft Structure Repairing, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Avionics Maintenance, Computer Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Travel Tourism and Flight Services.
