c/o Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Moratuwa ,
The Computer Science & Engineering Society (CS&ES) is an association of Computer Science & Engineering graduates and undergraduates dedicated to developing and uplifting the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. The emerging shape of the 21st century demands all of us to be on par with the growing trends in the field of Information Technology. Since its inauguration in 1997, driven by the dedicated effort of its members, the CS&ES has contributed much towards the CSE as well as the industry. The CS&ES achieves its ends through workshops, seminars, conferences, etc. held for selected categories of professionals. The CS&ES engages in the following activities, both on the national and international level, in order to work for the accomplishment of the objectives of the CS&ES: 1. To obtain leading edge computers and other related equipment to the CSE. 2. To organise lectures, seminars, workshops to its own members and the general public to introduce them to leading edge technologies. 3. To introduce the CSE undergraduates to leading edge technologies by helping them find suitable organisations for their industrial training and the final year projects. 4. To create an awareness among the CSE undergraduates on the available jobs in the industry. 5. To bring together the graduates and undergraduates of the CSE to share their experiences. 6. To assist the CSE to obtain services of internationally recognised personnel and institutions in the field of Computer Science and Engineering in the development and conduct of the CSE degree program.
