After that Rev. Galagama Buddhananda Thero become Principal and developed the school. Mr. Sugathadasa working as present principal.

Thomas de Silva Esq. who spent his own wealth for the establishment and development of the college.On April 10, 1929, the Sugatha Sasanodaya Samithiya (a benevolent society) took over entire administration of the college. The Government of Sri Lanka took control of the college in 1961.Some managers under Sugatha Sasanodaya Samithiya were P.De S. Kularathna Esq.,BA,Bsc,LLB, Dr.M.H Saddhasena and L.C De Silva Esq. All of them were Ex.Members of Parliament.Dharmasoka College is one of the top graded Buddhist schools ever established in 19th century. It has been rapidly developed in a large scale. The name “Dharmasoka” has been popular not only in the Southern region of Sri Lanka but also in the whole island.
