Mr. Praja Renuka has been a Combined Mathematics Tutor for the past 28 years, helping students succeed by not only teaching mathematics, but also giving out life lessons. He is a kind and humble man who is very much loved by his students and people around him.
He was born in Galle as the youngest of four siblings. He acquired his primary education at Mahinda College, Galle and following the grade 5 scholarship exams, was accepted to Ananda College, Colombo. He had his higher education at University of Ruhuna studying Bachelor of Science. During that time he began to tutor students mathematics, and received a very positive response. Then he realized that it was his passion, and continued tutoring thousands of students from then on.
After numerous requests from many people, he finally decided to enter the political world with the blessing of Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa. He has now been nominated for the 2014 Western Provincial Council Elections from the United People’s Freedom Alliance. He is very passionate about helping the future generation create a better society. Since he has helped the community for so many years, it is now our responsibility to help him, so he can give back to our community.
