The Sri Lanka President his excellency Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa opened the sales complex for products made by disabled Army soldiers of the Lakviru Sevana Disabled War Heroes Vocational Training Center.
The founder of Lakviru Sevana Ven. Elle Gunawansa Thero accompanied the President at the ceremony to open the Sales Complex at Cooperation of the Dharmayathana Trust in Battaramulla today.
The Lakviru Sevana is managed by the Seva Vanitha Army Branch and has an outlet of the Seva Vanitha Bakery, a hand-loom saree store and a handicraft store which displays the products made by disabled war heroes.
The main Bakery outlet and kitchen premises is located at Matha Road, Narahenpita.
Profits and proceeds of the Army Bakery and the cafeteria are used for the promotion of SVAB welfare projects of different nature, meant for disable War Heroes, families of missing or dead War Heroes, children of disable and serving War Hero families and all Army personnel.
