Dehiwala Central College was established in 1944 as a result of former education minister Mr.C.W.W.Kanangara’s Educations reforms. Today it has become one of the prominent schools in Colombo district. It has shown its excellence in both academic and in extra-curricular activities. Major D.A.D.Wanaguru is the contemporary pioneer of the college and is supported by a staff of 60 teachers who guide a student population of 1200. This great academic centre has contributed to the nation by producing great people in many fields. From then to now, actors , performers , lawyers, Media personals , Businessmen, Doctors, Engineers, bankers , politicians and top rankers of other fields was produced from this college and One of the students became the prime minister of the country. The college celebrated 60th anniversary in 2006. Today it has achieved a great development under the leadership of the present principal Major H.A.D.Wanaguru. And it declared its foremost objective as producing good citizens for the country.

This is organized by the IT department of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The main objective of this event is to raise funds for the outbound training program conducted for the development of leadership skills of the young undergraduates. The Concert will be held on 24th May 2014 from 6.30 Onwards at Youth Auditorium,Maharagama.
