Russian-Lankan Council for Entrepreneurial Development
Prior to the formation of Russian-Lanka Council for Entrepreneurial Development (RLCED) REDA (RUSSIAN ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT ABROAD) International (Pvt.) Ltd was founded in 2007 as result of a group of Russian Entrepreneurs of the 1970’s and a few Sri Lankan’s culminating a discussion bringing back the significant role and the impact on trade the Russian Federation played in 1970’s in Sri Lanka, such as investments into oil-refinery, Tire manufacturing, steel industry, Ship building,Urban Development and agricultural equipment and all other valuable contributions to the infrastructure of the Island.
To carry this legacy forward and to re-invigorate investment, REDA facilitated Russian investment taking the role of a Consultant and (RLCED) to give the message to RUSSIAN and CIS businessman to re-kindle the former era of growth and to foster new partnerships and to open up opportunities for Russian and CIS entrepreneurs in the present emerging Sri Lankan market. For a long time Russia and Sri Lanka has continued to build excellent relationships between the two countries.
Sri Lanka in the current phase of its development is now more open to the Russian investors and it’s technology which is well supported and prioritized to balance off with the inflows of Foreign Direct Investor(FDI), from China and India.
