Sainthamaruthu is a vibrant city in Kalmunai municipality in Ampara District of Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. It had a total population of 25,412 as in 2011.Sainthamaruthu consist comparatively smaller land area in Ampara district which is highly congested with the people.
