Some of the Finest Dishes unlike Dishes provided anywhere are as follows: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Authentic Biriyani (Roast & Curry Chicken/Egg/Fish/Mutton) (The only ORIGINAL served dish in Sri-Lanka provided from Hotel De Majestic) It is a set of rice-based foods made with spices, rice (usually basmati) and meat, fish, eggs or vegetables. The name is derived from the Persian word beryā which means "fried" or "roasted". The only Original biriyani ever served in Srilanka. Hotel De majestic is the only establishment that still keeps to the true art of preparing the authentic biriyani unlike other. We prepare the Biriyani with the actual ingredients and the secret art of preparation apart from the use of other ready-to-cook ingredients available in the market. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ String Hopper Biriyani (Roast & Curry Chicken/Egg/Fish/Mutton) It is a set of sliced string hoppers-based foods made with spices, rice (usually basmati) and meat, fish, eggs or vegetables. The name is derived from the Persian word beryā which means "fried" or "roasted". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Kottu / Kottu Roti (Fried Chicken/Fish/Egg) Originated from Sri Lanka, made from a Sri Lankan type of bread called Godamba Roti, and vegetables, egg, or meat, and various spices. A hot kottu is generally eaten as a dinner meal. We serve with soft Paratta cooked in a grill then sliced and minced with special spices along with your choice of chicken,fish, egg or vegetables. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Cheese Kottu (Fried Chicken/Egg) A new flavour added to the family of Kottu Rotis served as mentioned before but with the added ingredient of cheese that keeps our taste buds asking for more. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ String Hopper Kottu (Fried Chicken/Fish/Egg) Prepared with string hoppers minced and mixed with spices and vegetables and added with chicken or egg or mutton. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Murthaba (Chicken/Egg) Roti stuffed with chicken, onion, tomato, chilli, fresh egg, spices and grill fried. Murthaba was originally introduced to Srilanka by us that have kept people asking for more after their firts try-outs. A soft double layered rotti stuffed with onions,tomatoes, chilli and your choice of chicken/egg. {A Must Have} -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Nasi Goreng (Chicken/Egg) Nasi goreng, literally meaning "fried rice" in Indonesian and Malay, can refer simply to fried pre-cooked rice, a meal including stir fried rice in small amount of cooking oil or margarine, typically spiced with kecap manis (sweet soy sauce), shallot, garlic, tamarind and chilli and accompanied with other ingredients, particularly an omelette, chicken and prawns. Nasi Goreng can be made using many powder and masala mixtures available in the market, but we utilize the secret recipe originally used for Nasi Gorengs and Mee Gorengs. The gorengs are prepared utilizing our pre-made Masala that consists of the natural herbs and spices. We can proudly say that our recipe is the most authentic & secretive that would get your taste buds running for more. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Mie/Mi/Mee Goreng (Chicken/Egg) A dish famous in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. It is made with thin yellow noodles fried with garlic, onion or shallots, fried prawn, chicken or egg, sliced chili, vegetables, tomatoes, egg, and acar (pickles). The gorengs are prepared utilizing our pre-made Masala that consists of the natural herbs and spices. We can proudly say that our recipe is the most authentic & secretive that would get your taste buds running for more. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Roti John (Chicken/Egg) also served with cheese Rotti John the first of the recently known "Submarines". Essentially an omelette/minced chicken sandwich, is a popular Malay dinner and snack item in Malaysia and Singapore The minced meat, sardines, egg and chopped onions are fried on a frying pan and then placed into the cavity of a baguette halved lengthwise. The whole baguette is then briefly pan-fried on the frying pan and then served after being cut into several portions. A variant is to place the minced meat, onions and sauce inside the baguette, then baguette dipped into beaten egg, and the whole then panfried on the frying pan. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Roti John Burger (Chicken/Egg) also served with cheese The same as "Roti John" but served with a sesame seasoned "Burger Bun" with the same ingredients and filling as of the Roti john.
