Experience an authentic visit with a Sri Lankan family in the highlands. Our cozy and stylish home is equipped with hot water and Wi-Fi, with a private bedroom, living room, dining and sitting area. Learn to make delicious rice and curry or trek through Cloud Rainforest with a naturalist!
The private residence includes an entry sitting room, living room, dining area, bathroom, and loft bedroom. The house can accommodate up to three guests; there is a double bed in the loft bedroom and a full-sized daybed in the living room.
All the furniture and most of the loft structure is beautifully designed and handmade from old mahogany wood.
The host family lives in a separate section that is attached to the house. The rented areas described above are completely private to the guest.
Guests will have access to all of the aforementioned areas. In addition, there is a kitchen in the attached host family section of the house that is available for use.
We are delighted to share the culture and traditions of Sri Lanka with our guests, including optional activities such as: cooking classes; nature trekking through the nearby cloud forest and learning about flora and fauna; traditional home garden visits; waterfall expeditions; introductions to Sri Lankan tea culture; religious rituals; as well as general cultural exchange.
We are experts on wildlife and flora, birding, and all things related to nature. We would be happy to teach, learn, and share with our guests. We have a large library of books for your reference.
If time permits, we may also accompany you to the Horton Plains National Park.
