The Thellipotenna farmhouse is a secluded hideaway in the middle of farmlands and jungle. It is located near the mountain range of haputele, inland at the Beragale-Welawaya road. It's unique character is made by the beautiful separate buildings scattered over a small mountain top, with an unparalleled view on the wide Haputele mountain range as far as your eye can go. It's surrounded by mostly unspoiled jungle, rubber estates and some paddy fields. It is a very quiet place where many birds (e.a. eagles, hornbill, finches, kingfishers, woodpeckers) and other animals can be seen and heard. Regularlay wild elephants are spotted and can be viewed straight from the house with binoculars.
