Bolawalana Parish Choir
St. Ceciliya Choir functions under the able and dynamic guidance of Rev. Fr. Sujeewa Athukorala, the Parish Priest of Our Lady of Purification Church, Bolawalana.
Mr. Nadeetha Hettiarachchi volunteers as the leader of the Choir and the members are being perfectly trained by the untiring efforts of one of our choristers, Mr. Ashan Wimalasekara. We work as a united team, practice very often and believe in the saying, "practice makes perfect".
We often perform at many religious functions, namely holy masses, weddings and other ceremonies of the St. Franciscon Order.
In addition to the above, we also continuously organize numerous lenten programmes, carol services and other programmes during feasts very often.
At present, we are in the midst of organizing a carol service with the participation of the main, senior, junior choirs of Bolawalana and the choirs in the sub-parishes: Uluambalama and Jayabima. We hope, by the grace of our Lord, our efforts will be a great success.
