The history of Master Freight closely traces the life story of its founder and present chairman the legendary A.H.A Azeez. As with any profession, it is with hard won experience that one augments their knowledge and given the intricacies & complexities of the commercial freight industry perhaps the greatest asset that Mr. Azeez possesses is over 65 years of experience in this very industry. Clearing agents have an extremely challenging and exhausting job – shipments arrive at odd hours, documentation needs to be extremely thorough and each cargo consignment comes with its own set of problems. It is not a job characterized by routine and each day is gruelling yet often a new learning experience. In this regard, Master Freight has seen it all – shipment delays, hold ups by customs, classification issues, drastic policy changes by authorities and other complicated operational entanglements. In 1975 Mr. Azeez was elected at the inaugural meeting of the Sri Lanka Customs House Agents Union as the Founder President.

A.C. Houlder. This was made with a view to celebrate the centenary of the school.Since then there was a steady progress of the OBA activities running through the periods of Mr. E. D. Thambimuttu (1950-1959) and Mr. S.L.A.Rathnayake (1959-1964).Theperiod of Mr. E.D.Thambimuttu was in fact known as the golden era of OBA activities. With the takeover of the school by the Government in the early1960s saw an end to most of the funding and things deteriorated rapidly. Significant changes took place in almost every sphere. In the late 1960s and1970s the students felt the need of the service of the old boys at a time when everything was on the decline. In a revival, with the guidance of Principal Mr. M.M. Punchhetti (1973-1982) a junior OBA was formed in 1978 which inspired old boys of all ranks to get behind our old school one by one. Though at a slow pace they kept things moving, kept the school flag flying and has come all this long. But not enough! Yet a long way to go. The Town Hall of Colombo is the headquarters of the Colombo Municipal Council and the office of the Mayor of Colombo. Built in front of the Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo, Sri Lanka, it is the meeting place for the elected municipal council.The foundation stone was laid on May 24, 1924, by Mayor of Colombo T. Reid, CCS, and the work was completed in 1927. Designed by S. J. Edwards, it was originally meant to house the office of the mayor and the council chamber, and as a venue for functions requiring a large ballroom.Today it houses the administrative staff of the municipal council.
